Consent Declaration for Processing Personal Data

To ensure the proper installation and functioning of our delivered products, we would like to register and store certain personal data to guarantee the optimal functionality of our products.

As the user of an UP stairlift, we ask for your permission to register and store your personal data for the ‘purpose’ described in section 1.2.

1.1. Personal Data

The following data will be stored:

• Name and address details of the stairlift user;
• Technical information about the stairlift in use, including:

       – Status updates

       – The stored rail data

       – Information from sensors such as the distance traveled by the lift

       – Error reports

• GPS location of the stairlift (*)
• Log files with records of the start and end time of the technician’s work, as well as details of the work performed (*).

* This data is not read through the lift itself but from the technician’s tablet

1.2. Purpose

The data listed in section 1.1 will be used after consent for the following purposes:

a. Technical purposes

• Advising on and installing the stairlift
• Improving the performance of our products
• Configuration via the Devi Mobile app
• Maintenance and service after installation Investigating the cause in case of a defect or malfunction

b. Commercial purposes

• Communication about service appointments and inquiries
• Direct marketing or market and opinion research
• Sending an email newsletter
• Personalized newsletter tracking
• Market research (e.g., customer satisfaction surveys)
• Marketing and advertising – creating customer profiles
• Publishing a customer reference (name and image).

Your personal data will be used exclusively for these purposes and will not be processed further in a way that is incompatible with these purposes. Data may also be retained longer if necessary for warranty or service obligations.

1.3. Retention Period

Your personal data will be stored as long as necessary for the execution of the aforementioned purposes or as long as required by law.

1.4. Who Collects or Processes Your Personal Data?

DeVi-Stairlifts B.V., located at de Veken 250 in Opmeer (NH, Netherlands), is responsible for all personal data collected through the UP stairlift.

1.5. Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties

We share your personal data with third parties if this is necessary to achieve the purposes for which the personal data was processed.

We have a data processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. We remain responsible for these processes.

1.6. Viewing, Modifying, or Deleting Data

You have the right to view, correct, or delete your personal data. Additionally, you have the right to withdraw your consent for data processing or object to the processing of your personal data. You also have the right to data portability, meaning you can submit a request to transfer the personal data we have to you or another organization of your choice.

You can send a request to view, correct, delete, or transfer your personal data or request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to info@devi-stairlifts.com. To ensure that the request is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your identity document along with the request. Please make your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and citizen service number (BSN) unreadable in this copy to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks.

1.7. How We Secure Personal Data

We take the protection of your data very seriously and take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification. 1.8. Method of Giving Consent

You give your consent by checking the terms and conditions box after the installation of the stairlift, via the DeVi Configurator app on the mechanic’s tablet. You can withdraw the given consent by contacting DeVi Stairlifts via email at info@devi-stairlifts.com.
