Once installed, it leaves enough space for other stair users to access the stairs normally. The rail consists of only 2 parts and can be fully customised on site. The stairlift for spiral staircases is specially designed to take up as little space as possible when not in use. The UP Stairlift protrudes only 18 cm from the wall and is 38.5 cm wide when folded. The seat, armrests and footrest of the stairlift can be completely folded.
If you have limited space in your hallway as well, we offer the option of a hinge rail which allows the stairlift to be parked on the stairs. Another option is a parking curve which allows the stairlift to be parked where there is more space. You will then maintain plenty of space in your hallway and/or aisle.
