How to use
the UP Stairlift

We guide you through the simple steps of using the UP Stairlift. You will see how to operate the stairlift, start your ride, and enjoy smooth and effortless use every day.

Hinge rail

The UP hinge rail is a foldable rail which makes it possible for the rail to fold in case there is an obstruction, for instance a door. The hinge rail can be ordered as an extra option to the stairlift.

Joystick

The joystick controls the stairlift and includes key functions like switching it on and off. It also offers a VoIP safety feature, allowing you to call for help at any time while remaining safely seated.

Remote control

The remote can be used to bring the stairlift up and down, without the need to be sitting on the stairlift.

Power supply and warning signals

The battery may run low if the stairlift has not been charged properly or after many consecutive rides. When the battery is low, the lift can only travel downward. After approximately three hours of charging, the stairlift will be fully operational again.

Emergency

In case of an emergency, such as the seat or rail blocking the door, this video explains how to use the hinge rail safety pin, how to manually rotate the seat, and how to reset the seat to its normal position.
