The stairlift is fully designed and developed in the Netherlands. Production takes place partly in-house and is partly supported by carefully selected (international) suppliers. This allows us to combine our own expertise with strong partners, while always maintaining full control over quality and execution.
Because all disciplines are represented within our organization, we can move quickly and make immediate adjustments during the development process. This enables continuous improvement and ensures a well-thought-out and reliable end product.
The journey of UP Stairlift so far…
1996
The foundation
Dennis Vroegindeweij (founder of the UP Stairlift) began his career as a product developer at a major Dutch stairlift manufacturer. There, he not only designed stairlifts but also built the production machines himself. From this hands-on experience, he gained a deep understanding of what works and where opportunities for improvement lie.
2004
Around the world
After a major company acquisition, Dennis travels around the world for international sourcing. In Asia and Europe, he sees the power of scalability, but he also gains a crucial insight: scale is no substitute for quality when the technical foundation isn’t right.
2011
De first order
With an electric wheelbarrow wheel and a good dose of courage, Dennis secures his first major order. Without a company or staff, he quickly sets up his own business in electrically powered vehicles while never losing sight of his focus on an affordable and sustainable stairlift solution.
2017
Breakthrough
Dennis returns to the stairlift sector with a radical plan: to develop his own stairlift based on a more cost-effective and environmentally friendly rail solution. The modular rail is developed, and the UP Stairlift is born.

Today, UP Stairlift represents the new standard in stairlifts. The focus is not only on providing a fast and safe solution for users, but also on a premium design that fits seamlessly into any interior. A Next Level stairlift that can be delivered within 2 working days and is available worldwide.
